Garden Party

This beautiful garden party for Cy Twombly was held in an actual nursery outside of London. I especially love the mismatched cafe chairs and dirt floor. Petersham Nurseries is the type of place I would love to spend an entire day admiring the flowers and munching on snacks from the cafe while reading the paper and catching glimpses of Stella McCartney. Now I'll be daydreaming about English gardens for the rest of the day...

Real or fake?

Can you believe these flowers are actually made out of clay!?!? They are all hand-made by PetalByPetal and each order can be customized to any flower/color arrangement. They can create bouquets, corsages, favor boxes, hairpieces etc all customized to match the theme and decor of your event. I think it would be great to recreate your bouquet or a centerpiece as a keepsake to use in your home well after your wedding day.

Paper Love

Saw this beautiful invitation suite in the new issue of Inside Weddings. The magazine had an orange/silver combo but I like the yellow even better. Find it online here at KenzieKate invitations. Mackenzie also has a wonderful blog full of wedding/event inspiration here.

Astilbe and Ice Cream

Some inspiration from the July issue of MS Living. I love the feathery, fern-like quality of these Astilbe stalks. Haven't heard of it? Neither had I. But it's lovely.

I finally have an idea of what to do with my collection of vintage glass bottles.

Also from Martha Stewart, here are some yummy dessert ideas that incorporate every one's favorite warm-weather food. Ice Cream Cupcakes and Brownie and Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sandwiches are fun and different option for summer events.

Black, white and green...

is the wedding color palette that I am so loving right now. I think it's the fact that it's a very crisp and clean combination and can work for all different types of weddings. Here is some gorgeous inspiration featured today by Abby over at Style Me Pretty.

Long table inspiration

I pulled together some inspiration for one of our brides who is looking to have long communal tables at her reception instead of the traditional rounds. We've seen this trend, which has been popular in Europe for years, really start to take off recently. Of course this configuration isn't limited to just weddings either.

This is the most beautiful table I have ever seen. It's from the amazing photographer Elizabeth Messina's wedding. I love the mixture of textures with the chic vintage chandeliers and silver vases against the rustic wooden table... so beautiful.

More launch party pics

Joanna from Bamboo Beats sent over some great photos of the space all decked out for the party.

I'm so glad she got some photos of Iska's beautiful cakes because by the time our camera made it over there they were almost gone.

And those adorable lace-rimmed dessert plates are courtesy of Sheena from Totally Tabletops.

We've Popped The Cork!!

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate our Launch Party with us on Thursday. We had a wonderful time and it was great to see so many new faces in addition to our supportive friends, family, and vendor partners. Here are a couple of not-so-good pics from the party (I think our photographer had too much champagne). I'm trying to hunt down some better ones, so if any of you have any please send them my way.

Lumiere Bridal did a couple of very cool wall projections with some of their videos and our logo (this photo does not do them justice). Jonathan and Jaro are extremely talented so check them out if you haven't already.

A view from upstairs - Miki's Flowers created some gorgeous flower arrangements for the night - thanks Miki!

The fabulous Bamboo Beats supplied music for the evening.

Jeanne talking with Dixie Duncan from Seattle Met Bride and Groom. In the background is the amazing cakes by Iska Pallis from Cake. Everyone was raving about how amazing they were and asking us where we found her - we'll never tell ;).

We cannot say enough good things about the lovely ladies from Ravishing Radish. They supplied the wonderful bites for the evening and as usual, the food was delicious and they were a joy to work with.
